This Weekend...

sup people!?

i had an awesomeeeeeeeeeeee weekend!!
and actually it all plays a part in a couple of valuable lessons I'm learning throughout the Christmas season.

Starting off with Friday Morning, i went to the annual ballet presentation of the Nutcracker. It was really interesting to watch how all of the ballerinas participated in synch and i only noticed one mistake throughout the entire hour and a half show. There was a guy who played a double roll as the Snow King and Sugar Plum King, and he came out during the middle of the show to tell us his story of how he got into the Nutcracker show and ballet all together. Most people think that all of the guys involved in ballet are "priss" or "sissys" but you would be surprised at what this guy said. He told us how before he became involved in ballet that he played soccer, baseball, basketball, and football and had met with a teacher who needed an extra guy for their ballet performance. She told him it would strengthen his body for sports and he said "ok then!" and has been involved ever since lol. I guess the lesson here is dedication to what your doing and everything else will fall into place. If you ever get the chance.... even if you feel you'll be bored out of your brains, take the time to go see a local ballet performance. Believe me, you'll appreciate the fact you went, and the Ballerina's will too. =]

Friday Night:

Well after a long day of watching the Nutcracker play, going to the library, getting lunch, then coming home and doing other household things...it was great just to sit down and watch a Friday night movie. Which just so happened to be, It's a Wonderful Life!!! Now i did go to the Play Production of It's a Wonderful Life about 2 weeks before, but its nothing like sitting down with some pizza and pop, a huge bowl of popcorn, and watching the original movie that the TV stations air every year. It was a great movie and i enjoy it even more every year. The moral in this one is not throwing your life away because of your problems because that is so easy to do but it hurts those around you. Watching It's a Wonderful Life made me appreciate even more the gift of life God has given me. Even if i feel so terrible inside, all I have to do is think back to George Bailey and realize how terrible it would have been if he wasnt born. Now I'm not suicidal or anywhere near that stage, and I'm not assuming you are either, but we can all feel so down that we dont want to do anything but feel bad for ourselves and let me tell you from hard-core experience, that gets you absolutely NO WHERE!!!!! haha so yeah there's the moral in this weekend activity.

Saturday afternoon:

haha i was REALLY busy this weekend because i spent the earlier part of Saturday afternoon at Briana's party!! Beating each other with balloons, blasting the YouTube tunes, dancing in the basement, and stuffing our faces with pizza and pop, nothing could have been better. Well except maybe Lexy's party that night =]. She had her bash at Beary Creative where you get to make a stuffed animal and get clothes for it, etc... the best part was that i got to see SAMMIE who i havent seen since July at Brittany's party and omigosh i was happy to see her!! making a flamingo, naming it MATTY MC MATTHEW, eating even MORE pizza lol, and cake and chips and pop and hershey kisses and so much more wow it was awesome!!! hehe that was fun.

Sunday Afternoon:

well i got to go to Grama's for an early Christmas and that was fun. I was so excited because i got a $30 gift card to Target!!! haha well thats not really the point but I'm happy because iv'e been WAITING FOR SOOOOOOOO LONG to get "Let it Snow Baby, Let It Reindeer" the BEST Relient K Christmas album ever!!! (hayyyyyy...we all have selfish desires!!!) hehe well yes there is ANOTHER moral in this one. The true meaning of Christmas. People all over the world suffer from depression and anxiety because of the amount of debt they're in , or because they didnt get the gift they wanted, or just plainly because they have no happiness in the stuff they just got. there really is no happiness in new things because they dont matter in the end. i guess what i'm trying to say is remember the true meaning of Christmas because its about Jesus, not gifts, and that is where the happiness will come. If you focus on others this season you will be truly blessed!! I'm going to try and put away my selfish desires for more Relient K cds and you should do the same, unless, of course, you dont listen to Relient K =P.

Well I'm off to do some schoolwork and I'll talk to ya'll later!!
Have a great week =]!!!
